lol .

we say it and we really dont mean it . "lol" is our icyhot for conversation . we use it to ease the situation . because if you write "lol" , its taken as a joke . and everyone knows not to take a joke serious . right ? =/

we use "lol" for two situations . one is when we get what is supposed to be a joke in a text and we type "lol" back to make the person feel good . either bc we're flirting or just cuz we dont wanna look like an asshole . what are we supposed to write , "that wasnt funny" ? heck no . we cant go out like that ! we gotta care about what people think of us, remember ?
secondly , we say "lol" so that our true statements dont seem as harsh . cuz if i write " girl stfu . im talkin . lol " its like , ehh . just a joke . let me not trip . whereas if i wrote " girl shut the fuck up . im talkin " its like bitch whaaaat ? >:o

so know that when people write "lol" theyre bullshitting you . they are doing everything BUT laughing out loud .
